Cui Jian 

Known as the "father of Chinese rock," Cui Jian is one of China's most famous and influential rock musicians. He formed his band in the 1980s, and they quickly gained a following with their politically charged lyrics and high-energy performances. Cui Jian plays guitar and sings; his most famous song is "Nothing to My Name."

The Shanghai Restoration Project 

The Shanghai Restoration Project is a musical duo that combines traditional Chinese instruments with modern electronic music. Their music is often described as "future retro," They have released several albums that blend elements of jazz, hip-hop, and traditional Chinese music.

Beyond 

Beyond was a famous rock band in the 1980s and 1990s. The band members all hailed from Hong Kong, and their music had a distinctly Chinese flavor. Beyond's most famous songs include "Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies" and "Glorious Years."

Chopstick Brothers 

Chopstick Brothers is a musical duo that gained fame in China with their viral hit "Little Apple." The song, which features catchy lyrics and a danceable beat, became a sensation on Chinese social media and spawned numerous covers and parodies.

Black Panther 

Black Panther is a Chinese rock band that was formed in 1987 in Beijing. The band was one of the first to emerge in China's rock music scene and played a significant role in popularizing the genre in the country. The band's original lineup included He Yong on lead vocals and guitar, Zhang Chu on bass and backing vocals, and Wei Jun on drums. They played a style of rock that blended elements of punk, heavy metal, and traditional Chinese music.

Second-Hand Rose  

A rock band from Beijing formed in 2000. The band consists of lead vocalist Liang Long, guitarist Wu Haibo, bassist Zhang Lihua, and drummer Sun Le. Their music is a blend of rock, traditional Chinese music, and elements of theater. Some of their most famous songs include "Flower in the Mirror," "Crying Game," and "My Skirt."

The Sound Stage 

 A pop-rock band from Shanghai formed in 2004. The band comprises lead vocalist Li Dongqi, guitarist Li Meng, bassist Li Mingming, and drummer Liu Yue. Their music is characterized by catchy melodies, driving rhythms, and introspective lyrics. Some of their most famous songs include "Brighter," "Another Day," and "The Sound of the Ocean."

Miserable Faith 

A rock band from Beijing formed in 1999. The band comprises lead vocalist and guitarist Gao Hu, bassist He Yong, keyboardist Han Lei, and drummer Wu Hao. Their music blends rock, blues, and folk elements, often incorporating traditional Chinese instruments. Some of their most famous songs include "Back to the Start," "The Ground," and "Life Is a Drama."

Escape Plan 

A post-hardcore band from Guangzhou formed in 2010. The band comprises lead vocalist Li Dan, guitarist Liu Xingyu, bassist Fang Qi, and drummer Lin Xi. Their music is characterized by heavy guitar riffs, melodic hooks, and emotionally charged lyrics. Some of their most famous songs include "Sixteen," "Awakening," and "Falling."

New Pants 

An indie rock band from Beijing formed in 1996. The band comprises lead vocalist and guitarist Peng Lei, keyboardist Wang Yue, bassist Zhao Meng, and drummer Ding Wu. Their music combines rock, pop, and electronic elements, often incorporating humor and satire in their lyrics. Some of their most famous songs include "I Love Xi'an," "Nothing Better to Do," and "It's a Dream."

SNH48 

This all-female idol group was formed in Shanghai in 2012 and is a spin-off of the popular Japanese group AKB48. SNH48 performs pop music and has released multiple albums, including "Mae Shika Mukanee" and "Dream Land." The group has had a number of members over the years, but some of the current members include Duan Yixuan, Xu Jiaqi, and Sun ZhenNi.

Phoenix Legend 

This pop duo from Guangzhou consists of lead vocalist Zeng Yi and rapper Ling Hua. They are known for blending traditional Chinese music with modern pop and hip-hop influences. Some of their most famous songs include "The Most Romantic Thing," "Fly Freely," and "Lovers."
